Becca Lopez is the creator and founder of Bookish Becca Co., the visionary behind Readers of the Valley, and a contemporary romance author from the vibrant heart of Arizona, where creativity and community fuel everything she does.

A lifelong storyteller, Becca began writing screenplays at eleven years old before moving into novels—first through fanfiction, and now through original works that sweep readers into heartfelt, character-driven worlds. Her passion for story naturally expanded beyond the page into entrepreneurship, where she channels that same spirit of imagination into handcrafted goods and community events.

Through Bookish Becca Co., Becca creates small-batch, intentional products including goat’s milk soaps, lotions, and soy-wax candles and melts. Every scent is thoughtfully designed—often in collaboration with fellow authors—to capture the essence of characters, worlds, and emotional beats, bringing stories to life in a deeply sensory way.

Her love for community led her to establish Readers of the Valley, a growing Arizona-based event series dedicated to uplifting indie authors, handmade vendors, small businesses, and the readers who champion them. Each market and signing is designed as a warm, inclusive space where book lovers can meet creators, shop local, and celebrate the joy of storytelling.

About Bookish Becca Co.

I’m Becca, I hail from the vibrant heart of Arizona, where creativity and community fuel everything I do. Writing has been part of me for as long as I can remember—starting with screenplays at just eleven years old, then shifting into novel writing. I even spent years in the fanfic world before finding my voice in original stories, where I now get to whisk readers away to fantastical realms filled with heart and imagination.

Outside of writing, I’m the founder and creator of Bookish Becca Co., my small business specializing in self-care items like goat’s milk soaps and lotions, soy candles, and wax melts. I’m also the mind behind Readers of the Valley, a book and author event here in Arizona that brings together the bookish community I love so much.

As a spicy Latina with an INFJ-T personality, a 2w3 Enneagram, and a Capricorn sun, I’m passionate about mental health and chronic pain awareness. I balance all that with plenty of dad jokes, dark humor, and a love for both coffee and margaritas. An anxious yet playful spirit—that’s me in a nutshell, radiating a mix of wit, kindness, and resilience.

    attitude made her super great to collaborate with and I wasn't afraid to tell
    her what I wanted for my custom candles! As an indie author, it's already hard to get myself out there, so having specially made candles for my first ever
    novel to add to my PR/fan boxes was a bit intimidating at first. She made every
    step of the process ridiculously easy and was able to bring my vague ideas to
    life! Her knowledge of fragrance combinations is PHENOMINAL and we were able to create the perfect custom scent to match my book! Not only was she a complete joy to work with, her products are AMAZING. She created multiple mockups so we could decide the final paper print design for the candle. I was surprised she
    gave me so many pretty choices to pick from! The one I ended up going with
    looks beautiful in person!
